With its 21cm higher ground clearance (29.3° for the angle of approach, 23° for the ventral angle and 34.9° for the departure angle), you can tackle any conditions on and off the road. 4x4 gearbox

Looking for a thrilling drive? The 4x4 gearbox is a 4-speed transmission, specially adapted to the off-road capabilities of your Renault DUSTER. The short first gear lets you drive over uneven ground at low speeds, start on a hill or tow a heavy load downhill with maximum torque. It gives you greater agility to deal with the toughest road conditions.

4x2 gearbox

Use the 4x2 transmission on the road and in good road-holding conditions. The engine torque is distributed over the two front wheels to optimise your fuel consumption.

Auto and Lock modes

With the AUTO mode, you get the best possible compromise between road-holding and traction. This mode automatically distributes the torque between the front and rear axles. Select it on all types of surface, regardless of the speed of the vehicle and the road-holding conditions.

Enjoy engine control and braking suited to 4x4 use with the LOCK mode. This mode locks the engine torque between the front and rear axles to optimise the off-road capability on difficult and uneven, snowy or sandy surfaces.
